Brandon, kick ass sculpture as usual. I first learned about the Shiflett Brothers through the magazine, Amazing Figure Modeller. I am a very humble fan of your work.
I had a question about the rights to sculpting or drawing already established characters. Where would you find out about that kind of info. I would like to try to sculpt something, but I don't want to step on any toes. Thank you for inspiring other artists like myself.

I really appreciate the comments about our work. We work for bigger companies who hold the licenses on all our mass produced work.
Auctions like this one are strictly for one-of-a-kind pieces of some of our favorite characters. The companies as a general rule do not mind with one-of-a-kind items. For instance, you can sell an original sketch of Wonder Woman on ebay, but you can't start cranking out posters of her.
As long as you don't make a mold or casting of a piece, you're pretty safe.
Keep in touch dude.

Vampi looks really cool, Brandon. I just sent you an email about the HFM meeting this month. Let me know if you get it.

Thank you for the info. I admire your work so much, I'll see if I can get a post up of a simple sculpt that I'd been working on. I'd be honored if you could give me some comments on my sculpt. Thanks Again!

I'm actually pretty new to sculpting , but I'd be honored to have you check out my sculpt - and I was curious, how easy is it to get work sculpting busts, or kits for marvel, or any other big(ish) companies?

That thing looks bad-ass. Love the musculature and teeth. My brother is really going to love it.
Getting jobs is simply a matter of showing the people who can hire you a protfolio of your work. More than one piece to show consistency. And get out to the San Diego ComicCon! That's where you'll get hired.
Good luck, homey.
