Where do I find the file where all my painter IX papers are saved? (My computer crashes everytime I go to the Paper mover, so I can't export them. It seems that some of my papers are to big for painter)

The Painter IX Application/Program folders are read only and Painter IX writes all user settings and custom items to the User folder.

That's where you'll find the Paper Textures file (Mac) or Painter.PAP file (Windows).

It's best, as I guess you've discovered, to keep the art materials libraries in their original condition and place all custom items in custom libraries.

If your Papers are very large, you might need to put only one or two in a single Papers library.

There's no way I know of to extract Papers from the Paper Textures file/Painter.PAP file so you may need to reset Painter IX to it's default state in order to have access to the default Papers library and the Paper Mover again.

Before you do that, though, move a copy of any custom items from the Painter IX User folders into a new folder somewhere outside of both the Painter IX Application/Program folder and the Painter IX User folder so you can move them back to the Painter IX User folder after resetting Painter IX to its default state.

Then hold down the Shift key while launching Painter IX and everthing will be restored to the way it was when Painter IX was installed.

One exception when copying things back to the Painter IX User folder:

Since your Papers library seems to be a problem, I'd suggest not moving it back to the Painter IX User folder after Painter IX is reset to its default state. Instead, just begin all over with the clean default Papers library and create custom Papers libraries for your custom Papers.

Try using smaller Papers and make them seamless tiles. That should help keep your custom Papers library in a working size.

Good luck!
