I am looking for a new Superzoom Cam at the moment.

Currently the Panasonic Lumix FZ5 and the Canon S2 IS are my favs.

I read a few reviews - including dcresource and dpreview - but i thought maybe some of you guys have one of the cams, so i can get infos from a cam-owner...

Do you have this cam (Panasonic FZ5 or Canon S2 IS) and what can you say about it? Feel free to post shots of them...

thx! :teeth:

I was checking out the side by side features on dpreview....I'd go for the Canon.

Few reasons.

- Flip out screen
- Uses AA batteries
- USB 2.0
- Probable DIGIC image processor (it says unknown on the chart)
- Wider ISO variety
- Wider shutter speed range
- Slightly wider Apeture range
- Customised countdown timer
- Better macro and normal focal ranges
- External flash hotshoe
- Manual Focus

Cons.

- No uncompressed format (only Jpeg)
- 2/3 heavier than the FZ5

I have the Supershot S1...and I like it a lot. It takes great videos :teeth: You might want to check out Konica Minolta's Z5 camera as well...it's supposed to be good.
