Was doodling last night and came up with this sky snake thing.

Inspired by the Warcraft 3 soundtrack, I decided to attempt a finished piece, showing a warrior atop one of these guys in battle with another clan. After a quick sketch:

Just wanted to gain some feedback so far. Having a bit of difficulty working out how his right foot looks. Help? And his left leg looks a little off. Any assistance is much appreciated.

drop the hogarth...

overrated balloon muscles.

look at Bridgeman's books... The Human Machine, Guide to Figure Drawing, etc, etc. Bridgeman adds too many "muscles" and lumps that arent' actually in the human anatomy.

Bridgeman is much more real to life. better quality books for better price.

i guess it comes down to a matter of taste, i find Bridgmans style to be alittle on the square side,
and Hogarth is well yes more rounded out. there must be a happy medium somewhere.

if you want the real anatomy get anatomy for the artist it is scientific look at the body. If you truely want to learn human anatomy. If you get hogath or bridgeman's you are just getting someone's interpretation of the human anatomy, not true human anatomy. looks good but is not real
