I really like this concept, i think I'm gonna make a 3d model out of it...so crit me now before i get started.

Congrats man =)
Yeah i think there are few things better than looking back at old art and saying "man! that sucks im so much better now"

Of course theres always things to be improved upon...the artists work is never done =P

Some crits then...

Youre new fem pic looks good, looks like youre starting to get some of the important anatomical features, and you picked a tough angle, good to push that. Youre biggest problems now are some of the most common ie proportion for one. The legs need to be longer. I had that problem...still do at times. I tend to make them even a bit longer than my instincts tell me to cause they always seems to end up short.
Numba 2...the hand wrapping around the sword is a bit iffy. Hand are a beast to learn to do well also. What helps me is to visualize the hand as being simple 3d shapes while drawing. Think about how they would wrap around.
Lastly...keep it up! the more you draw the better youll get...its a garantee.

I dig the armor concept too...be nice to see it in 3d. Make sure those boots can bend up though with the way you have the armor set up. You cant bend the rules quite so much in 3d as in drawing since it still phycally has to work other wis eyou get some funkiness when animating, like geometry clipping...no good.

have a good one...

Good stuff lad!
I'm with ChaosEidolon on the whole "functionality" of a character.
I'm no expert in this realm, but I've found that if you consider how body parts will have to interact with each other in a realistic way, it often brings you to a point where, even if your proportions are off, you can pull off characters that have real weight to them, and so convey a bit more realism.
Keep up the good work, and let's see some more posts!
