Trying to get several things done at the same time, here is an example of what i have feel free to critique and you can also check out my profile page for more samples. Thanks. :rendered: http://www.conceptart.org/gallery/files/2/5/1/9/0/Ageofvalordemo1.jpg

That looks cool, kind of blurry. I would stay away from the blur tool if that's what you've been using. Try bending by colors, like on his shoulder peice; it looks really out of focus, but if you go in with a smaller brush and painted it, I'm sure it would come back into faces. I can tell you've got skill from the work on faces, just keep trying.

lots of dodge and burn?

Definately use more brush strokes and avoid using so much smudge/blur. Maybe experiemtn more with colour. I think you have lots of potential to improve on this so enjoy the site and be open to the advice you get here ;) :yayca:

Thanks for the info yeah smudge is giving it more of a blurry look and yes its alot of dodge and burn, but thank god for layers ill try using more colors to experiment and see how it looks.

Maybe bg could be more in the game. I like blurry effect, but take care of form. Some places are loosing in the dark.

I agree with others about the blurring. I also think that some of the shading could be reworked. Some of it feels flat. It also reminds me of an Anime called Record of Lodoss War. Any connection?

Welcome to CA bud.

I like this piece even if it's indeed blurry. Then again, you probably wanted that effect.

These are sweet! Love the work in your portfolio, especially the hair on your characters…very detailed and beautiful. I like how they’re coming along, the doodles around the unfinished parts look just like my pics when they’re in progress :P

I like using the smudge tool too, but try using it on 93%-100% so you get a clean crisp defining line instead of blurry ones. Also the guy’s body seems lost; but you’re working on it. Just define what he’s wearing more.

I can’t wait to see Shyalasowyn and Riendarovyn when they’re done, they look really amazing so far!
Update us on your progress for sure!!
