scanners

What kind of scanners do you guys use and recommend? I need to get one soon so I can actually post some of my work.

Also, even though this is unrelated, can soemone explain to me the paper sizes artists use? I always hear like "A4" size, etc, but Im not in the industry, so I dont really know.. I jsut draw on copy paper or those cheap sketchbooks you can buy at art stores..

HP makes a good scanner.

look in to that. i did a lot of scanner research a while back and HP always came up on top.
dont know what the latest model is though. mines over a year old.

My parents haev a really old one (it still works great though) that I wish I could have but I dont want to ship it clear to florida.. Probably cost me as much asa new one to have it shipped, its really heavy!

Any word on waht resolutions to get? I dont know much abou scanners, I jsut like to push that button adn have my art scanned..

is 1200 dpi good or should I go for 2400?
