I just finished my first freelance comic strip. I haven't drawn a comic strip in YEARS so I wanted to get some criticism from you all out there.
For starters, I only had 2 days to get this done. I finished it in 7 hours from start to finish(drafts, approvals, etc). The client wanted something very simple with politically correct characters. They gave me the script so I had no control over that. The comic is going to be on a flyer given out at some trade show called ARON. What do you all think? Oh, and the comic reads in vertical panels, not horizontal. (they wanted it that way)

Well personally I think the script is lame, were I a hospital I probably wouldn't base my purchase on the lame lines they gave you to use.

The cartooning, on the hand, is pretty good. I think you worked pretty well with what they made available to you. I guess that's the life of a freelance artist, huh? :D

Yeah, it was a real rush job. I had to ink the thing in an airport while I waited for a connecting flight. Ha. Thanks for the compliments. I wish I had more time on it.

Well I think it's great for a rush job. The only thing bugging me are some of the lines I wish you used a straight edge on. I like the clean style! Congrats on the gig.

Yeah, good point. I should have used a straight edge. I didn't have anything on me at the time though. Thanks for the compliments.
