Hey folks. Its been a while. I was inspired to do more abstract work towards the end of this last semester. I started playing with ink and rubbing alcohol on acetate. It does some wierd stuff and is a quick way to generate you shapes when you are stuck.

Here are the first couple.

This is one I went back into with a blade, much like a scratchboard.

woah, that is pretty sweet...great way to develop some texutres....i do acrylic washes on watercolor paper and rubbing alchohol...also fun stuff!

Thanks for the reply. I haven't messed with watercolour in a long while. Its one of my favorites.

I took that last image a bit further, playing with color and compositing.

its like youve sliced a pig in half and stuck it on a black and white photocopier :D haha i quite like it :}

Thats neato. I saw a similair thread here where the guy spilled coffe on his sketchbook and made complete peices out of them, it was so friggin cool. Wish I could find it...
