Here's me...

- have a black belt in Karate

- can play the alto saxophone

- have a benign (harmless) tumor above my right eye-brow

- very shy in real life

- have a degree in History

- afraid of Jelly Fish

- met Bill Clinton.

Heh..how many of us are artists because we're too shy to talk to people?

John
June 19th, 2005, 03:26 PM
I'm not too shy to talk to people. I just don't like people disturbing me when i want to draw. Or drink. Also, i can't divert my attention from the awesome things i do or say, so very often i just can't concentrate on others because i'm occupied with myself. Or the hot music blasting from my headphones.

Corky, you like Dillinger Fucking Escape Plan? They're as loud as it gets for me. After that it's the chaos that's Mr. Bungle.

i lived in southern italy when i was a kid

and i'm not terribly shy in real life - used to be, but learned to get over it by waiting tables and forcing myself to meet people.

i snuck out of my house regularly around 13-14 years old and would take the subway into dc to see bands play... but thats more of a secret that my parents didn't know :P

hmmm. things no one really knows about me?

I have 15 little plastic ninjas sitting on my computer.

Parmiyaki chicken wings are my favorite food.

I was published as a writer before I was published as an artist

I can't write

In 5th grade I started an art studio with all the best artists in the school, we got busted after a month. When called to the office I presented a list of all my records which showed clients and profits (around 75.00 first month) . . .the principal took all our art till the end of the year, but what made her really mad was that I had a personal assistant and she didn't.
I havn't told anyone that in about 10yrs.

I come off as shy, but I think I evaluate people before I freely express myself.
I'm just trying to figure out how approachable a person is first.

People with strong personalities always seem volatile to me.

Approachable means to me tolerant and not quick to react emotionaly.

When I was younger I used to do photomanipulations. Really bad, cheesy photomanipulations that I hope no longer exist. It helped me learn to use Photoshop really well, but I'll forever have that shame. Oh well, at least I never made fake celebrity nudes.

I spent four of my teenage years (off and on) making an RPG Maker game called Baldy's Big Day. I was quite proud of it at the time, but I have no idea what I'd think if I played it today.

My hobbies include digging up embarassing things from my childhood and making fun of them.

Oh yeah, I'm another shy guy.

I'm not shy... I'm socialphobic, potential mates and "higher ranking people" scare me the most, as well as large gatherings of people... I always think these people judge me. I also hate answering the phone, eating in public, and a pleathora of other things.

I eat my own cum, started out when I needed a way to get rid of the stuff, now it's a habit. I will not eat your cum.

Mine are not so original:

I'm shy and distrustful which makes people perceive me as an antisocial egoistic moron :/

I play drums. Played since I was about 17 - thought my little 12 year old brother some basics. He now - after 6 years - plays twice faster and better than me and has a band playing math-chaos-core kinda thing.

Unlike most eastern europeans - I hate vodka - I'm a beer person.

I lived and worked in NY for 3 months - loved it and been trying to come back ever since :)

In high school, me and my friends were all on the school judo team. In our first year there was a sponsored "judo camp," in which the team camped in cabins for the weekend playing all those "trust" games, you know where someone falls backward off a plank and the team has to catch them, yadda yadda. After that one weekend my friends and I had the brilliant idea to save all the waiver forms our parents had to sign, blank them out, and re-use them again & again, telling our parents we had a judo camp every quarter. Obviously a lie, so that we could disappear for the weekend without suspicion, and binge drink our eyes out, camping in cheap ass tents on the beach. Good times, good times.

Looking back, in high school I had built up such an incredible tolerance to alcohol, which sadly, has dissipated into next to nothing. sigh :^^;: I need to get out more.

edit- oh yeah, and uh, don't ever put a box of sleeping pills into the orange juice your friends are mixing with vodka :$ :$ not cool >:{

lots and lots of bands, i was at a show almost every week or so
i saw the dc bands a lot- the suspects, the goons, the spitfires, lickity split, frodus

i went to a mix of punk, ska, and hardcore shows, I never really discriminated between the three... some of the better bands I saw were hepcat, the slackers, battery, h2o, bane, the unseen, the casualties, hatebreed, kid dynamite(!!!), us bombs, darkest hour, AFI before they were big.... more than I can remember....guhhh. like I said, a lot of bands. my hearing is gonna suck when i get old. it was a very fun time in my life though, wouldn't trade it for anything.

I have a unibrow, its unified browly powers kept in check only by constant attention to keeping them separated, securing the safety of the mortal public one day at a time.
I adopted a dog, since it's impossible for me to have one of my own (being human and male and everything).
I challenge any Scion-driving poseur to drive a REAL minivan like I do. Any takers? I thought not.
I cannot sleep in a car or plane.
I once slept in my car overnight in a K-mart parking lot.
I have an uncanny ability to completely platonize all encounters with females which could conceivably result in intimate relationships.
I am almost constantly formulating anagrams of words I read, speak, or hear, in my head.
I love ferocious lightning storms waking me up at 3 AM.
I hate clear, boring, blue skies.
I'm shy, but friendly and open.
I think... I think I love you.

i had a similar op going with myself and 2 other buddies in about grade 4. we used to lease out our talent to those who were lacking for a substantial fee. hehe :P the teachers didnt send us to the office but they strongly discouraged our business.

oh and something else? hmm.. i had a severe eating disorder from around 8-9 years old and have always been a little underweight as a result. i also suffered from a mild form of depression, most probably resultant of the eating disorder.

for 2 years i did modern dance and theatre, performing on many occassions. last major theatrical performance i wore a prosthetic beard and moustache - a real Gandalf experience.

I have a slight neurosis about deep water. If I can't touch bottom, I tend to convince myself that there's a shark or a giant squid or some shit in there.
I have an eye condition that makes me very, very sensitive to sunlight. I can barely see in the daytime outside without some sunglesses.
I have a tendency both to acknowledge the fundamental failings of the establishment and to not concern myself with them.

Per mintyfreshdoom from New York
I have some fierce social anxiety disorder, but I'm not shy. I used to be shy, but it was very boring, so I gave it up. Unfortunately I have found out that now that I can talk to people, I really deeply dislike most people and don't actually want to talk to them after all. Go figure.

I've met some people from New York.....I understand how this can happen, my relatives come from New York, so I have first hand experiences. People from New York probably don't understand what I'm saying, unless you go to California. There's a total adjustment in personalities.

President Bush said, "Be careful what kind of people you associate with, because some of their behavior can rub off on you."

Despite where that message came from, I find that quote is true. I find my behavior usually reflects the people I'm around. If they're belligerent, I'm belligerent. If they're happy, I'm happy.....I'm like a frik'n monkey see monkey do kind of a guy.

This is my quote, in order to understand where I'm coming from:

I come off as shy, but I think I evaluate people before I freely express myself.
I'm just trying to figure out how approachable a person is first.

People with strong personalities always seem volatile to me.

I hate watermelon. >:|

I'm outgoing, but people make me nervous.
I go to clubs for the loud music huge crowd and dim lights, it eases my nerves and take away pressure. :P

I thought of some more things nobody knows about me:

Co-founder of the Church of the Endless Void, the first church of art. . .and no, I will not explain (but we did have over 200 members worldwide, a couple more years and my army would be large enough. . .never mind)

As a young adult an ex-girlfriend convinced me to stay at a mental health clinic, been diagnosed with 4-5 different mental disorders (but I don't trust doctors, they were just out to kill me and steal my lucky charms)

I have a doctorate, and not one of those online class things- a real one.

Use to do mascot work, dress up in costumes and go to parties, I've been barney more then once.

I have big ideas that I never persue because most of them are crazy or the funds are to great, a couple:
1-flavored tater tots, like chips, but tatertots (ranch, barbe-Q, nachos, etc.)
2- neopets like site, but with fantasy heroes.
3- personalized porn, you pick the girl/guy and they do one of those virtual scenes the way you want and uses your name and everything

there's more. . .but who cares, i'm sure it's all from not sleeping.

p.s.- if you want a ninja pm me and maybe i'll mail you one

I moved 10 times in 12 years, drove from San Diego to Washinton D.C. in 50 hours, grew an inch taller between 24 and 31 years of age, love Esquivel's music (along with classical and all the other hard and soft alternative), have a single hair on the last knuckle of my left pinky, and am totally freaked out by Hamsta, right now (and probably for a very long time).

I have a reputation for being intimidating, aloof, unfriendly and scary amongst people that don't know me. I'm honestly not sure why...but in fact I'm just shy and tend not to open my mouth in the company of strangers unless I'm sure I'm not going to make an ass of myself. Plus I never want to come off as being pushy and obnoxious so I tend to drift off from groups when I don't feel comfortable which makes people think I'm ignoring them. I'm 100% different around people I know well though.

Aaaanyways...

-I've had long hair for .. er .. 12 years? It was once below my waist.
-I grew up in Hawaii on the island of Kauai (moved when I was about 7?)
-I used to speak fluent island pidgin (my parents hated it, plus, in retrospect, it was sad coming from a white boy)
-Not counting the 2 times I moved before I was 7, I've moved a total of 20 times (just completed #20 last month). I hate moving.
-I have an extra or pronounced bone in both of my feet that interrupts the tendon/ligament that holds up my arches, giving me flat feet.
-I'll be 31 in a couple weeks...not that much of a secret but most people don't believe I'm that old. (I thank my dads genetics)

OK, those are all mundane...how bout:
-I had a mullett at one point when I was a kid
-I also had one of those (wtf retarded) stupid "tails"..you know, short hair with like one bit of long hair in the back..my god, wtf were my parents thinking letting me outside like that?
-A couple of local kids used to beat me up when I went to school on Kauai
-I was in a Dungeons and Dragons club in high school.
-I've been hit by at least 3 moving cars while on a bike, and I hit one parked one once.

Random other shite:
-I scuba dive (not as often as I'd like..hate California water)
-I owned a car before I had a drivers license (or a permit)
-I like to go to raves
-I can't remember the last time I didn't own a cat.

Probably way more than anyone wants to know about me, but I'm in one of those moods, heh.

hrmmm interesting topic

things not many people know.. all i can think of are medical things right now..

1: I had a bad habit of breaking my arm when I was little, not like a hariline fracture, I mean, like, in two pieces break. I never cried or shouted or went into shock, I just remember being very annoyed and having to ask my mom to drive me to the hospital.

2: I have a scar on my iris from when I got a piece of metal stuck in it.

3: I am deathly afraid of mangled bones... i think this stems from NOT being affected by number 1 so long ago.

i can ride a unicycle.

jetpack - sweet! me too. I rode it to school in the 5th and 6th grades for shits and giggles.

ok, so a couple other things you may not know....

1. I'm not a twin
2. I owned a red tail boa constrictor for years. His name was Baby and I loved him...but unfortunately he died in a random accident.
3. I am going to be in Athleta's fall catalogue (my debut appearance) www.athleta.com (http://www.athleta.com)
3. my birthday is THIS THURSDAY! :bounce: My birthday is my favorite holiday hands down. Coming from a family of 4 it's nice to have a day just for me.
4. I sincerely enjoy decorating my "cube" here at work. Most of my favorite things are from Sideshow Collectables...(balrog statue, twisted rabbits, 12 inch figures etc) but I also have artwork from friends etc...my cube was mentioned by a local reporter when he wrote his article about the company I work for. It was only a few lines but it was nice to be noticed.
5. I'm not shy but I really don't like being the center of attention. I am very friendly but it sometimes get's mistaken for being flirtatious....GAH...I can never seem to get the formula right for "you seem like a cool person, wanna be my friend?". Oh well.
6. I stay up way too late watching complete seasons of TV shows on DVD...yeah I know, that's time I SHOULD be drawing...or doing 1000 other things.

Ok, So enough about me...

HAha... actually kline, the second time i broke my arm that's EXACTLY how it happened.
scene - right outside the front door to my house -

me: trip-fall-breakarm-Standup and hold arm up, supporting it at the break with my good arm. (it's obviously broken, looks like a lightning bolt)

Nieghbor - "Joe! You ok?!?"

Me - "Yeah..... >sigh< I think so..." Walk inside my house, "Moooomm, I broke my arm again."

Mom (from the kitchen) - "Don't even joke about that!"

Me (sitting down right next to my brother in the den, who stands up shocked) "I'm not kidding, I broke my arm! I need to go to the emergency room. Man, THERE GOES MY SUMMER VACATION!"

All I could think about was that I wouldn't be able to go swimming with a cast on again :)

that's one of the small things that make Fugazi cool as hell. . . . .

and of course it counts!

another couple of things about me: i've seen Pearl Jam in concert 5 times, and on two seperate birthdays.

i have blue eyes, though no one else in my family in the last 100 years has.

Per mintyfreshdoom from New York:
"I have some fierce social anxiety disorder, but I'm not shy. I used to be shy, but it was very boring, so I gave it up. Unfortunately I have found out that now that I can talk to people, I really deeply dislike most people and don't actually want to talk to them after all. Go figure."

"I come off as shy, but I think I evaluate people before I freely express myself.
I'm just trying to figure out how approachable a person is first.

People with strong personalities always seem volatile to me."

New York is a pretty intense place, and you need to either be very strong or very oblivious to live here successfully because you're basically living right on top of each other like rats in boxes. That does breed some, er, many, many complete and total pricks, more or less out of necessity. I love this place, but it doesn't suit me. I lived in Portland for a year and half and loved it, I found I rather thrived in an environment where people thanked their bus drivers earnestly and held doors for one another. But even at that, polite, well meaning people make the world more pleasant, but in depth conversations with the great majority are equally as useless. I think that may have had something to do with your post, but it's nearly 4 am, I'm no longer quite sure of anything.

And generally on topic: I not only have a third nipple, my genes have gone so far as to provide me with a fourth. I could conceivably whelp and feed a small litter. Am I a throwback, or the next leap in human evolution? /m\

Yeah Forest, that's why I thought you hated me when I first met ya... ^_^

Ok, for me:

-I ate dog biscuits on a daily basis when I was 3. Later on in life, that fact came back to haunt me in the form of a barking Spiderman.

-I've got a tattoo on my ankle. It's s'posed to be the kanji script for "ambition" but it looks more like a ship's anchor. Damn.

-Some of you know already I'm not shy. What you don't know is that I have a really hard time trusting anyone beyond the realm of "casual friend".

-I have scholiosis. Amazingly, people say I have really good posture, but it makes my right shoulder drop, my right hip unnaturally wide (angle-wise) and my butt stick out.

-I have screwed up ankles and short tendons, so I walk toe-to-heel rather than heel-to-toe, which accounts for the scholiosis. I also run on the ball of my foot... which really slows me down.

-I was on the MTV Beach House back in 1996 and talked to Geraldo Rivera there... I was such a prude that I was too afraid to wear a bathing suit, so I wore shorts and a vest. Go me.

-I used to have long hair past my arse, but I cut all off it because I was mad at my Mom. Thank god I ended up liking it.

-First kiss was on a train leaving Boston, right after an Aerosmith concert on New Year's. My ex was shocked I didn't smack him across the face...

-I lived in a haunted house for 6 years. Nothing like icy, invisible fingers on your face as a child!

Other than that, I'm your standard product of a divorced white middle-class family with a love for chocolate and trees.

Cool I still do. I've eaten all types of dogfood treats, canned, biscuits......biscuits are my fav still eat em to trip friends out.

-I love pizza crust and the ends of shrimp which no one seems to eat even though they are completely eddible???

-I also eat chicken bones especially those from buffalo wings. Nothing like hanging out with friends ordering some buffalo wings then seeing their faces when I start cracking chicken bones inside my mouth :teeth:

-I had what I believed were two underdevloped nipples until I cut them off with a toe nail clipper, which hurt like a MF.

-I have never broken or sprained a bone in my entire life, from which the knowledge of my friends nicknamed me wolverine (unbreakable bones and all).

-The first movie that drew me to tears was Mission with Robert Deniro I was 9.

-Whenever I see a woman with facial hair I immediately shave off any that I have.

i didn't drink anything seriously before being mid 17.

i always remember everything i did during heavy drinking-never have forgotten anything.
i've never felt sick "the morning after"-only once i had a slightly void feeling in my stomach.

Well if it's weird injuries we're talking about...

I fell directly onto a bonfire, rolled out and got up on my own, and was then offered watermelon by a friend of mine. On the cab ride to the clinic (this was in Israel) my mother called, and I told her that I was accompanying someone who fell into a fire and burned himself. It was only after I saw the doctor and was told it was a second degree burn that I called her back and told her.

One more thing, when I was younger, I used to be able to control my dreams for the most part, what ever I wanted to dream about I could, if i wanted godzilla in my dream, he was there, if it was super mario, he was there. Unfortunately now its harder for me to do that because I think about real life way too much and I think my lack of creativity the last who knows how many years is due to that.

Hmmm...

-I am, like many here, kinda shy. Not horribly so, however, as I can get along just find with small groups of people (and the opposite sex, thankfully :teeth: ).

-I am allergic to NOTHING. I am invincible!

-I have cut open my chin in the same place on the same 20 foot-tall spiral slide back in elementary school. First time I needed 18 stitches, second time I needed 8. The second time happened almost exactly one year after the first.

-This one's for you, Exo. I hate, hate, HATE mothes. It's not really a phobia, I just actively hunt them down and slaughter them. They're just so disgusting and dirty... yech! My weapons of choice are an Airsoft gun and a Louisville Slugger.

-I am developing a bunion (sp?) on my left big toe. The joint is all out of whack and bent at a crazy angle.

-I am an aspiring ninja. The crazy modern not-so-realistic kind with the long flowing red scarf and all. Death to Pirates! :ninja:

-I used to have a couple of those rubber ninjas, but then I lost them and can't find another candy machine that sells them. There's a web site out there somewhere that has a ton of them and sells them at retail price. I'll dig up the link if I can find it, but I also believe that there was a link on Ninja Burger's site at one time or another, probably still there somewhere.

-I'm 18 years old and have never smoked, tried any kind of drug, drank, or anything of that sort. Not really all that special, I know plenty of people who are 'straight-edge' as they say, but I'm still in the minority I think. I may be missing out on something fun or whatever, but I don't care :teeth:

-I like knives, knives of all kinds. They're just neat.

-I collect Aces, mostly the spades, and Jokers from card decks. The collection is small now, but anytime I see an interesting one, I keep it.

-I hate talking on the phone, and constantly avoid calling people if I can do so.

-While I have decent luck with women, I do tend to go into that no-man's land of 'just a friend' often. I am also currently VERY available, ladies ... roit... anyway.

-This one is VERY obvious if you know me in real life, but along with my dad and grandfather, I am a very argumentative person. When all three of us get together... it's not a pretty sight. Even in arguments that have only two sides to them, one of us WILL find another side to it, just so they don't have to argee with one of the other two.

hmmmm, fun topic.

Here I go:

- I used to smoke. At this moment i'm trying to quit. Isn't working out very well.

- I play field hockey.

- I'm an atheist.

- I'm a Nintenho. (a really big nintendo fanboy)

- I'm a bartender as a side job

- A lot of the money I earn by working as a bartender, is spend on drinking alcoholic beverages at my working place.

- Although i'm only 20, i have an impressive record of being drunk and doing stupid things

- Although, during my drunken adventures, i've fallen quit a number of times, i never broke a single bone in my body.

- I really like beer

- I'm kinda drunk at this moment

- Although i often score with the Ladies, i'm still a virgin that is waiting for the one (Yes, i'm a guy, NO i''m not gay)

- I'm a guy and straight, but I don't like cars and driving them. Cars are only interesting if they can transform into robots

- I really, really like beer

- I'm really competitive. My brother has the same problem. Playing fighting games against often results in playing for hours and hours because neither of us wants to quit except if he won the last match.

well, that was about it,

- I've read all the Harry Potter books. I secretly have a crush on Hermoine Granger.

- The first character I ever played as in Street Fighter II was Zangief, because he was big & buff.

- When I was 2 years old, my baby sitter sat me up on the kitchen stove (she thought it was off). It was actually on, and left a permanent burn on my butt. The stove had a spiral shaped electric burner (like the masquito repellent), so to this day, my ass has a giant spiral on it.

- If I could witness any moment in history, it would be the assassination of Juilus Caesar.

- I've only had one girlfriend my whole life so far.

- Once when I was a kid, I drank a capful of clorox bleach. When it touched my touch, I immediately vommited it out. To this day, my tounge is slightly bleached.

one last medical one for me, I forgot about earlier,

-I have/had a hyperactive immune system. YES this means I was all wolveriney, or I used to be before it became a problem.. doctors put me on immunodepressants for years to literally SHUT OFF my immune system after that...it sucked, it would take weeks to heal from a simple papercut and I always had a cold.

-I was home schooled up till high school.
-I've never had any sprains or broken bones.
-My eyes were blue till I was 14, now they're gray.
-I've had the habit of biting my nails since I was 10.
-I've never touched alcohol or drugs.
-I don't plan to drink coffee ever.
-Most people think I'm really nice just because I hardly speak in public at all.
-I had a learner's license for 5 years.
-I was extremely blond till I was around 6, now I have dark brown hair.
-I have a tiny patch of blond hair on the back of my head now which I've been told is a birthmark.
-The enamel of my teeth is apparently so hard that I have less than a 5% chance of getting any cavities in my lifetime, even if I didn't brush; amazingly enough I managed to get a small chip on one of my front teeth from a light switch.
-I have four little sisters, and an older brother.

-there is inbreeding on both sides of my family
-I have 1 brother, and 5 step-brothers (no sisters :( )
-When I was younger, I was prone to head injuries & emegency room visits. The doctors thought my parents were abusing me.
-When I was young, my brother accidently knocked my front teeth out with a metal baseball bat. They were baby teeth, so I had a gap in my smile until my permanent teeth grew in, years & years later.
-I have a scar under my eyebrow from where my brother hit me with the horn of his Protoceratops transformer, lacerating my eye as well.
-When I was 14yrs old I fell & hit my head so hard I got a concussion with temporary amnesia & short term memory loss. For example, I couldn't remember where people keep their clothes (like in a dresser or in the closet), when I finally found them, I couldn't remember how to put them on.

I am drawing 3 issues of a comic book for an independent publisher, but it pays really crappy and takes so long, it is impossible to have a regular job at the same time, so I sell my body to science to feed myself.

I ride BMX flatland.

I play guitar. I'm really into melodic heavy metal riffs.

I am fairly quiet. I'd rather sit back and listen than speak my mind.

I can't speak in front of groups of people without becoming really nervous.

I smile and laugh alot. Most people think I'm high, but I've never smoked weed.

I get along really well with old people.

I am the youngest of four.

I am moving to New York in August.

I have a fear of heavy storms.

I was the top student in my middle school.

I attended a Science Academy for high school.

I have never had a drink of alcohol but my brother is an alcoholic.

I have never smoked but every single member of my family uses tobacco.

I was raised Catholic but haven't been to church in ten years.

I have attended two different colleges and accumulated 25k debt, just to play college baseball, blowing off academic studies left and right.
I gave up on a life long dream of becoming a baseball player last year.
I can throw a baseball about 87 mph and I'm only 5'8".
I played on a National Champion club baseball team.

I still dream about baseball several times a week and it sucks.

I learned that about concept artists after visiting the job section of Acclaim's website about 10 years ago and decided that's what I wanted to do if I did not become a baseball star.

- I get easily addicted to strategy games, such as Sims, SimCity, Civilization or Age of Empires.

Not sure if this one is true but same goes for me - especially for the old time turn-based strategies like X-com series, Civilization, I'm also a mad fan of Jagged Alliance series. Playing Civ3:Conquests (while waiting for Civ4) is the main reason for not drawing or learning for my exams too much lately.

When I was a kid (about 7) I was bitten by a dog who also bit my younger brother twice (and by bitting I don't mean one short catch on the ankle but massive bitting with muscles toring, lots of blood, screaming and crying etc.) the same dog also spilled boilng water on me when I was little (bout 4-5). I have huge scars from both.

I've never broken any bone.

About 10 months ago I had to pack in 5 minutes and move out. Find a job etc. I'm now happier than I ever was.

I can bend my left hand thumb the way that makes everone go : YUCK!!!

-When I was 14 I placed 4th in Massachusetts for Nintendo Powerfest '93... the other finalists, who were all men, were all older teens and guys in their 20s... EXCEPT for the 9 year old girl that beat us all.

-I've been bitten by a dog once, it was my own dog, and she got me right in my left cheek (on my face! I don't have a cool spiral scar on my butt to show)

-as a child, I was TERRIFIED OF THESE GUYS:

I still think the first Mechwarrior game (for DOS) was the best of the series.

My family had a PC before we ever had a TV ... got our first TV set in 2000, if I remember rightly. :perv:

I've never owned a games console or handheld of any sort.

I play guitar and drums ... my guitar collection currently totals 4 1/2 (one's halfway built).

I live in the UK but work for an American company, and my girlfriend is in Canada.

I'd really like to drive a Jaguar XJS, but it'll never happen.

I can write mirrored text with my left hand (I'm right-handed).

My first (proper) kiss was with a member of these forums! :dur:

At Heathrow Airport before flying to San Francisco for the workshop in January, I was sitting within 2 metres of 2 other CA members (Calle and RES), and it took us all about 5-10 minutes to realise this.

My friend went as one of those sesame street things for Halloween a few years ago ... Many women found him extremely cute and wanted hugs. He couldn't see a thing. This led to an incident with him talking to this girl dressed (if you could say it) as a dominatrix with the tinyiest leather bikini that I have ever seen (leather or otherwise) ... He couldn't see what she was wearing and he leaned forward until he was inches away from her privates. I think I could see his blush through the costume as he stammered and backed a hasty retreat into a lamp post. It was quite amusing. :}

- I am a girl, which seems to be something easily not noticed.

- I got my first tablet yesterday, an Intous 3, and the only thing that comes out even remotely decent is the B&W stuff since I've always been a pencil .

- I just can't draw with mechanical pencils. I need wooden.

- After I did my "nosejob" two weeks ago (medical stuff, not plastic fantastic stuff), I've produced more bodily fluids in that part of me than I ever thought was possible. Snot mixed with blood and puss is not fun, especially when you're not allowed to blow your nose at all.

- After I had my first sneeze after the operation, I decided never to bang my nose in the wall ever.

- I had geese as pets when a kid.

- I went into the army just because I was fleeing from university. Still have some nice exam papers though.

- I barely used skirts before the army, after the army I use it whenever I can.

- I am too short to EVER have sexy legs. They look like timber.

- I did ballroom dance on a sport level, with prizes and all.

- At the same time I did ballroom dance, I did soccer and handball. No wonder my muscles are built weird.

- I'm easily addicted to everything that's not drugs or alcohol. Give me a game, a book or a brain puzzle, and I WILL NOT LET IT GO!

- I don't do online games. Never. I know if I start, I won't be able to pull myself out again. Only gaming online is set up games that has an ending between friends.

- I don't do drugs. I'm born this way. Or they didn't catch me when I was born, so I hit the floor. Or something.

- I drink alcohol, smoke, swear, and all the other things that girls aren't supposed to do, and my granddad loves me to death for it.

- When teenager I got easily agitated over the smallest things, and wouldn't let it go if it tried to march away. Now I just tip over a couple of times a year, but it's still not a pretty sight.

- I have the amazing super power of being a person that's able to scare the shit out of my bosses when things get tough at work. Thankfully I'm mostly all pleasant and smiles. Mostly.

I keep having these dreams where I stumble across conceptart.org people having a get together. In one I was on vacation somewhere, I come strolling through the hotel lobby and I see all these people just sitting around on the steps sketching. I asked somebody if they were from conceptart and found out that there was some big workshop that I had somehow missed out on and tomorrow was going to be the last day of the WS. Work it Slash, work it! :cheerleader:

Some stuff about me.

-I'm not German, I'm a Bulgarian born US citizen from San Francisco studying medicine in Germany. And I want to go back to San Francisco... (well, ok, Marin County, but close enough)

-I love being alone. It is very relaxing to have nobody around, and just be able to do what you want without having to take others into account.

-I'm shy, and don't open up until I get to know someone well. This has left me without any real friends for the last 2 years, not helped by the fact that I can't speak German well enough for a decent social conversation, and I can't stand looking like an idiot, so I keep my mouth shut.

-When I was a little kid I would freak out over bugs. There was an incident when I was 4 where I went into hysterics at the sight of a rolly-polly that had somehow gotten into the living room. It went away though, except that I still don't like spiders. But then again, most people don't.

-I am an AWP .

-I have an inch long scar on my right thumb that has been there since I was maybe 2 or 3. I have no idea how it got there, though I have my suspicions.

-I am a total nightowl. I feel much more... right... staying up until 4:00 am, than I do waking up early. I hate waking up early, and it thrown off my whole day.

Some few things that no one knows, cuz no one knows me here....

- I have a vary accurate sense of telling if people are trustworthy, liers, or what type of person they are after the first converstation I have with someone. It has to be face to face, not internet IMs, or over the phone. I cant really explain it, do you guys even follow me?

- Ive never had a bloody nose in my life

- Ive never broke a bone in my body

- I hate using the phone

- I dont like cake products (i.e. Cake, muffins, cup cakes, hoe hoes, twinkeys, zebra cakes) except cookies, but I think thats a class all in its self.

- I come off as a shy person, but I actually just like listening to people talk, except over the phone, and I hate radio talk.

- I enjoy watching children, and I mean in a non stalker way

- I used to sneak out at night just to go walking around town by my self. I would sometimes go to a local coffee shop that would be open 24/7 if I had the money (You had to buy something, couldnt just sit around). They would sometimes play live music.

- Ive never had a crush on a girl, never had a kiss, or slept with anyone. But how I love looking at them! :teeth:

- Ive never done any drugs in my life,

- Rarly do I get upset, or sad. Im just way to laxed.

- Im filipino, mexican, and a large mixture of white...

- After I got out of middle school (8th grade) I went and took my GED. My spelling and grammer prove it. :D

- I sleep on the floor

- I need a back rub bad ... Anyone willing?

...wow. With all of you guys seeing eachother naked, it appears I've been missing out on something big at the CA workshops...

...I've seen the boxer shorts of 3 CA members. Not half as cool I guess... or as creepy.

I'll toss in a couple more tidbits:

-Speaking of naked, I did see a naked celebrity once (and it wasn't a photomanip!). Pity it was Shari Lewis... my retinas still ache from time to time.

-I've had crushes on cartoon characters before, and I still get 'em every now and then. The weirdest ones include Norman from Mighty Max , Hardtop from C.O.P.S. , Raphael from TMNT , Sizzle from Stunt Dawgs and even Princess Sally from Sonic the Hedgehog . We won't speak of the Batman obsession.

-When I was in middle school, I wanted noting more than to be a super hero. And have a robot dog like Rush from Mega Man.

-Knock on wood, 9 years of having my driver's license and never had a single accident. Tickets, on the other hand...

When I was young, my parents would always go across the border and buy their gas in Washington (it was far, far cheaper back then). My parents would always say that we were going to the States for gas, so for years I thought the US was a gas station. I had no idea there was a whole country down there!

I can make bird noises and throw my voice. I do it in class all the time. It's awesome.

I'm not shy as I was in a band for a long time, but I do hate crowds and loud things unless I'm at a show. I was in a band and have a Marshall Stack. Me = dumb??

I'm dependant on Chinese food. Really.

If anyone listens to NOFX, I hit Fat Mike in the face with a poncho... earlier that day I did the same to a security guard with my fist... reflexes are weird.

I was almost arrested for having milk in a brown paper bag at 2 in the morning.

I hate all vegetables that resemble tress: broccolli, asparagus, colliflower... I don't even know how to spell them.

In 3rd grade I was stabbed 5 times with an ice pick.

I have a cat named Gibson. He's a doctor.

List goes on an on... we should have a coolest injuries thread or something...

lots and lots of bands, i was at a show almost every week or so
i saw the dc bands a lot- the suspects, the goons, the spitfires, lickity split, frodus

i went to a mix of punk, ska, and hardcore shows, I never really discriminated between the three... some of the better bands I saw were hepcat, the slackers, battery, h2o, bane, the unseen, the casualties, hatebreed, kid dynamite(!!!), us bombs, darkest hour, AFI before they were big.... more than I can remember....guhhh. like I said, a lot of bands. my hearing is gonna suck when i get old. it was a very fun time in my life though, wouldn't trade it for anything.

Kid Dynamite is amazing! None More Black (Jason's new band) is pretty damn boss. I like all of those bands, my hearing already sucks. Right ear = shot from practice. God Bless Jim Marshall.

I never learned to drive because of my bad temper. When I was a teenager, someone laughed at my attempts to learn and I lost it and chased him with the car...right up a flight of steps, across a porch and through his front door...and wall...

I did political cartoons during the 60-70s underground era.

I have been shot, stabbed, and beaten multiple times, was in at least 15 street fights when I was a kid, survived an explosive accident of my own doing, survived four massive car wrecks, fallen off a five story building, been hit by a police car head-on and thrown forty feet, jumped off a 40-foot cliff into a metal scrap yard, jumped from a bridge onto a moving train...

and never suffered a single broken bone until last year when I tripped over one of the cats and smashed my toes into a table.

I know how to make a classic zip gun...and have, more than once.

I collect stamps, and I'm one of only seven people in the United States who can identify a particular set of counterfeits of Hungarian Stamps on sight, without reference. (I'm writing a book on them right now.)

I'm a mod/admin for a dirty comics site. :)

I love brussels sprouts, cabbage, turnips, rutabagas and brocolli...

I've been sewing (hand and machine) and doing classic embroidery since I was a seven years old.

I've had one book published...for stamp collectors who use a computer.

I'm the only living witness to two mob bombings (saw the 'splosions, not the do-ers...), one of which leveled a seven-story commercial building.

Sat and listened to the rain bounce off the window glass with composer John Cage once for about an hour. He spent the time explaining how music exists everywhere to me. It was one of the greatest, most memorable times of my life. He died less than a year later.

this is like a really sick, twisted dating service.

that being said:
-I'm 16, but my ID says I'm 19, and never act either age.
-I'm straight, but I'm really really fruity (no, im not a metro or a transvesdite, im just crazy).
-I'm socially retarded. I grew up not having many friends and being the last one picked, so now I'm subconciously trying to make up for it by acting like a complete ass. My childhood has left scars, so most people think I'm a couple crayons short of a box
-Despite all that, Im real shy, but loud.
-I'm a musician, genetically. I can harmonize and play by ear, almost to the exact note. Im a self taught guitarist of 5 years and counting, and I also played the drums for 3 years, but didn't like it.
-I can also sing/grunt, along the lines of what ShatteredHalo349 can do, but more defined and audible.
-Going with the past two, I cant read a single note of music.
-I have trouble making relationships (yeah ladies, the man's single. And sexy)
-I hate my art.
-I suffer from severe amotivation[sp] syndrome
-I have an addictive personality.
-I get myself into patterns and trends, where I do something once and cant stop doing it for months on end. Right now, I can't stop listening to Between the Buried and Me. There's no changing it, no way around it.
-I'm deathly afraid of the Hospital, and doctors in general.
-I've never broken a bone, short of stress fractures and busted knuckles (I snowboard and used to skate)
-I'm also afraid of deep, open waters, or not being able to see the bottom.
-I have some completely irrational fears too. I panic whenever I see a bee. I dont trust large, unsupported structures (walkways with bridges, roller coasters, etc.)
-I suffer from clinically diagnosed vertigo...and I'm a part time roofer.
-I had a misdiagnosed allergy to glutose as a young child, which meant I couldnt eat wheat. I pretty much starved myself until I got a renalysis at the age of 11. turns out I was never allergic. Now I am, and probably always will be a skinny SOB.
-I wear girls clothing on occasion. Guys clothes are way too tight.
-I overanalyze every situation, which leads to me missing out on pretty much every once-in-a-lifetime event.
-I despise where I live, I want to live in Europe (my heart is in Greece). Im far too socially dependant to make the move though, my life is here.
-I abhor sports of all kinds, short of independant activities ( like snowboarding and bowling)
-I have a horrible relationship with my dad, for no reason at all.
-I, like ShatteredHalo349 (damn we're alike) , have Hitchhiker's thumb. I broke my left thumb on top of that, so I can bend it to roughly 105 degrees, I've measured it.
-I recently got sunburn so bad my skin was falling off in chunks. It was diagnosed as severe second degree burns. Damn my pasty skin!
-When prompted on remembering something, I have an impossible time trying to remember it. However, prior to the question, or much after it, I'll have no problem recalling said event or information, which is why all the above is probably disjointed. I'll probably think of more stuff later.

I have decided that after reading every post in this thread at least 4 times that we should donate the entire thread to a good medical school with a specialty in psychiatry. They might even give us credit when they win the Nobel Prize...

- i spell like an ass.
I apologize man, I read that as "I smell like an ass". My bad. Disregard all those personal hygiene coupons that should arrive in 7-12 business days.

Ilaekae, I don't think any self-respecting researcher would take us seriously. There's no way that one web site not devoted to psychological deviants can host so many. Maybe a statistician...
