Hello everybody!

It's been ages since the last time I posted anything. In this time, I've been making some illustrations, but nothing really worthy.

Here's my last finished work, just a character for a story I have in mind. A friend helped me with the face color and gave me some good advices.

Hope you like it. C&C welcome.

The face is great! Somehow though, I don't feel like the old-skool flying hat goes well with the design though. I think it's just the clash of colors for me. My suggestion is to combine the futuristic style with the hat and make your own version.

Her face needs a few more shadows on the left side. Her right hand is too big which makes the arm seem even shorter.

Nice piece averall.

Her hands and feet look very big to me. Maybe its the normal sized breasts thats throwing me off! :teeth:

Everything else looks really good to me.

The styles here seem to conflict, so the design doesnt mesh. You have the old timey hat which I love, then you have a contouring body suit and it just looks silly paired with the hat. So either give her a mucky loose fitting shirt(maybe even a scarf) to match the hat, or get rid of the hat.

I like the design, including the goggles. Her hands and feet are too big, though, and she looks like she's about to pitch forward and fall on her face.

I agree with what's been said about her hand, and the legs feel a tad short to me. Lovely face, lovely rendering.
I couldn't disagree more with the comments about her hat and goggles. I love them, and think they're working fine. The fact that they're slightly unexpected and not just the same old thing is what makes this piece fun for me. It feels like a 2005 idea of what a Jazz Age writer might have thought 2005 was going to look like.

I think the strongest aspect of this piece is the color choices and the overall textures you used. Don't get me wrong, the character is fine but that pallette is really what makes it sing!

Hey, thanks to all for the comments!

This character was improvised and now I want to develop it, so I'm working on other sketches.

I agree with most of the things you said, thanks again! :teeth:

I like the design of the character and outfit, I would just make the goggles a wee bit smaller because now they look like the are way wider than her face and more spaced than her eyes are.

Nice job. ALready stated about the hand holding the goggles. The right lens and left lens are a little off in size. Not glaring but a little noticable.

Really like the theme though.

Anatomically she looks stumpy to me. The waist/hip area should be a little shorter and higher up so that the legs are longer. Good start though.
