What to think about when drawing

Besides making sure the drawing is looking correct, what should I be thinking about when drawing? That is, how can I make life drawings improve drawings from my imagination?

Right now i,m doing a series of studys to improve my life drawing and its working, as for what i think about when drawing is bringing the picture to life and how i can improve my technique.:batman:

`sfunny, but I think most people have trouble mixing the two (life drawing sessions and drawing without a model.) Usually students sit in front of the model and just concentrate on what's there, rather than experimenting more, and conversly, when they draw "from their imagination" they tend to not include details like proper proportions and such.

I would recommend to just try and think carefully about what it is that is motivating you to do the drawing, and focus on that. Play with light and shade, folds of fabric, different textures, whatever. Have fun!
