I'm currently undertaking a rahter large net project.

I'm working on an online community dedicated to the manipulation of game engines (Mods, Skins, Maps, Models) named Magnetichead.Net

Anyway Im really stuck at a grpahical pov, i'm good with the ol photoshop but I jsut can't think of a look or a good colours scheme.

So I leave it to you to maybe fire off some ideas, draw some sketches and maybe just have a bash at some rough graphical layouts.

It's going to be a sister site to Mod Datbase www.moddb.com and I really like the way it is set out, however id like it to be a bit more graphic intensive, jsut to kinda take the edge of of it.

One idead I had was a very dark and sandy colour scheme (darker than CA.Org) and with lots of high textured rusted metal.

Anyway all the text that really needs to be incorporated is the title 'Magnetichead.Net' and the under title 'Abusing game engines since 1904'

So Is any one interested in having a bash? Even just for a laugh or to waste some time?

Id be eternaly greatful and might even be able to sort some money out for people if they come up for stuff I might use.

Please I know this is kinda a begging thread but this is a really big community project and it should get you some nice coverage.

Thanks is advanced, Ill keep the thread updated with other ideas and the such.

Thankyou for your time and I look forward to seeing some of the things you might come up with.

hrm.. rough crowd eh... ?

Yeah, I dunno, this might not be the best place to look for help on a website.. as some have mentioned artists make bad designers... heheh or vice versa...

There are some really good boards out there though that are all about webpage creation and design etc.. *wish I had some links but you might have to do that research on yer own*

Why by chance do you want to start a sister site to moddb.. that site kicks ass as is, and I think instead of trying to start another site you should contact them and see what you could do to help out with there community?

I think if you also came up with a beta site, on your own and got it going first even if it looked ugly, then posted for help you would do better.. Its better to get something rolling on your own then to ask for help, rather then to ask for help then get it going.. you know? make sense?

I wish I could help, I just don't have time.. good luck though

peace.

I'm a mod at Moddb, I help run the site there, I psot news, update the site and BAN PEOPLE!!!:evilbat:

But Moddb jsut deals with the actual mods, rather than the people involved and their work.

TBH it more like an amalgamation of Moddb and Conceptart.Org.
