my first robot design....colored real fast...

this is my first robot design.
i outlined it in illustrator and colored it real fast (paint bucket fill fast) and textured in photoshop.

I,m not sure i like the robot design but the picture is wicked, how long did it take you?

it took me maybe an hour and a half to outline it in illustrator, but i only spent about 5 min's coloring and texturing. i'm going to work on it some more, do some shading and stuff.
i also see some spots in the outline that need to be cleaned up. and i was also trying to figure out how to make the thing look like its hovering.
he is hovering you know.

maybe all the thing needs is a shadow.

a shadow would help, i was tring to fogure out what was going on down there, like, is it running? if so, how does that bottom part work? so yeah, if you can show it's hovering, that would be good.

when i do a more involved color job, im gonna make things glow and maybe throw in some dust and stuff.
add the shadow and all, that should do it.

im just real new to the whole "color with the computer" thing.
