Hey everybody! Just a quick sketch I did for a monthly Sculpting Jam. I'll probably do another one this weekend. The topic for this month is "Feline Mercenary". It's alot of fun and very liberating considering the fact that it's not intended to go beyond this point.Thanks for looking!
Material: MidWest Clay Sculpey
Time: 45 minutes
Height: two and a half inches

Very nice! I like the idea of sketching in clay together with other ppl after a set theme. Gotta try that sometime. I've done some sculpting with a nude model as reference in school, (don't know what you'd call that, "lifesculpting"?) so I know it's hard to come up with something good that quick!
Keep it up, post more! :)

Thanks guys!
Trevor - As I mentioned in your post, I love your Sky Captain piece! At some point I'm going to give Castilene and Azbro a go-round but for now, I'll stick with Sculpey for the sheer speed you can do stuff.
The absolute best part about doing stuff like this is seeing other people's interpretations, so grab some clay and let's see some stuff! The point is not to worry about how skilled you are but just to have fun with your own vision of a character and crank through stuff. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you'll see improvements with every piece. Hope you guys take me up on it! Later! :}
