I'm pretty much finished with Ganon himself, the face looks the best by far, IMO.

Any tips for the backgrounds?

I think you should make the black part of his suit darker, and increase the contrast so it matches his sleeves better.

The face does look nice. Although it seems everything is leaning toward the left a little, have you tried mirror the image and see how it looks? It might help you to notice some problems you over looked before.

The coloring need more contrast like JERI mentioned. Also you may want to consider how to make the coloring work with background. Part of the coloring would work good with dark background, while other part work better with light background. I find it easier to decide the theme color for background first before coloring the character, it helps to make things more consistant.
