how can you change the direction of your airbrush. for example, i want to use variable splatter and such. but whenever spray, it's always going in the same direction (to the left). i want to be able to rotate it.
i've looked everywhere in the brush options but can't find anything. someone? jin? help?
thanks!!!!:p

Hi Keyth,
In the case of the variable splatter brush, tilting the pen angle in the direction you wish the media to spray works, but I believe only the Wacom Intuos graphics tablets support stylus tilt. This is not a comfortable/ controllable way to hold the stylus though, except for a limited range of directional tilt. The best way may be to rotate your canvas. Also, for the digital airbrush, media appears to pool from the centre and outwards in all directions at the same time irrespective of stylus tilt.
In answer to your second question, in Painter 7, the light source and direction properties are accessed via Canvas menu> Surface lighting. In the resulting dialogue box, click and drag the light source over the globe. You can add extra lights by clicking on the globe. Select a light source icon and use the backspace key (Mac) (possibly the delete key on the PC) to delete a light source. There are other sliders which control various 'impasto' light properties and depth appearance in the same dialogue box.
