No, not the grass brush!! MAke your own custom brushes for stuff like that. Work on anatomy, color theory, and practice from life/reference. You should work on your design skills also because the placement of the text is awkward, and it's very difficult to read.

The idea has good potential. A quick thought: if it was a night scene, you'd get some great lighting opportunities coming from the blue energy.

Well keep practicing. I think the text is too small. and yea the grass brush hurts the eyes. The environment is cool, maybe make the background a little better, more amazing. Try to make the cloth work better and more realistic. othewise its a good start.

Honestly?
Im not too fond of the idea of Jesus dress in an inquisition robe :\
Work on the draw distance, its a bright sunny day yet 15 feet out there's a sudden fog?
Id would make the whole thing foggier and greyer with jebus having slighly more color than everything else, and do something about those bricks

I think it would be much stronger without the text. It's pretty clear what the picture is about without it. Besides simple not looking good, the text turns the message into an advertisement.

I also agree with what's been said in this thread. Grass brush is a no-no. Bricks look bad. Trees look flat. You're on the right track, you mostly need practice and experience.

Is the leper trying to untie Jesus' belt?

goog: obviously symbolism from being put on the cross. ever since he was put on the cross, all of jesus' wounds have just stayed there on every drawing, possibly to symbolise his eternal pain suffered for us humans etc. (i'm not christian anymore)

take the text out.. and why is the leper reaching for jesus' crotch :P

Practice drawing hands and feet. They both have teeny, tiny misshapen feet, with weak joint structure. Ankles are joints, not 6-inch long tapers from the calf to the foot.

And keep your subject matter in mind. I don't think lepers are so muscularly developed in their upper arms...

The symbolism in this piece is hilarious! The placement of the leper reaching for Jesus's crotch...Note the size and angle of the rope end, and the direction of the leper's gaze, with his mouth hanging open...too funny! That's why religious art isn't more mainstream. Us heathens have too much fun with it.

Oh, and just a point of order here, it's Prince of Peace, not Prinz.
