Here are a couple of my first attempts at this sketchy art style. These are undead characters that i am trying to develop into something decent. No they're not particularly original, just something to sketch to develop this style.
What do you think :blahblah:

Well, they would fit more in the WIP section than in the finished one.
Always keep in mind that there is something underneath the clothes, even if as insubstential as a ghost. It's not a loss of time to sketch the person underneath and then cover it up with a cloak. It insures the anatomy is correct. In your case I'm not sure anout the junction between neck/shoulder.
And there is no reason for the sleeves to have these folds in them, there is nothing to keep them from falling straight.

Cheers for the comments.
I'll definately sketch out the basis of the skeleton underneath on the next one. I'll post the final result sometime this week.

as qitsune said, there's something under these clothes. most probably a skeleton. :D
If the rules of anatomy would apply to your mages they would be standing on their knees. Having drawn the figure underneath the robes first, you wouldnt do these mistakes.
as qitsune also mentioned, your sleeves doesnt look natural, why do they have folds when the figure underneath doesnt stop the cloth in any way? This applies to the rest of your drawing, the capes doesnt behave like cloth would. Study drapery, and how people's bodies make their clothes look. The way you have done it now there's just a lot of random lines following the general direction of the cloth. and some lines that doesnt make sense at all.
oh, and go to www.saveloomis.org and read "figure drawing for all its worth"
Keep practicing!
