Hi all,

Do you sell your paintings online and if yes - how do you manage to get the people visit your website?

I've spent quite a lot of time on my website and still continue selling mostly offline..should I seek a professional marketing help or ? did you? How much does it cost? I'm doing link exachange with lots of my friends, ask them to write a few words on their site about me, but that's not marketing really..

I'm also thinking of starting another site in sitekreator.com (btw if you don't have a site yet theirs are free for 10 megs), this time for wooden ship models me and my brother are making. But if I can't get visitors to these sites - what's the point?

what do I have to do to make those sites popular? I can't invest so much money in google adwords, etc expensive campaigns...not now at least..

any advice will be greatly appreciated!!

It's a bit hard to sell your work online through your own site, unless you are really really really good. But it helps to advertise your site around. Do link exchange with other people, promote your site on forums (like in your signatures), and join other online art community to reach more people and build up the traffic flow to your site. Submit the site to search engines.
Once you have a good traffic flow, your site will appear more toward the top when people search for key words that's related to your site. Make sure you provide image description for your works, don't just leave them showing there, give a brief description, usually those brief description can catch search engine's attention, and get people to your site.
