Alien Diplomat Concept

Well heres an alien diplomat concept i've been working on. I need some second opinions on my color scheme, cus when it comes to color im a bit of a noob :D . Another thing is that I cant narrow down the design of the scepter, because right now its conflicting with the rest of the design.... oh well any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

Looks good, very interesting design. The costume design is well done too.

The dark scepter disapears into the dark background and it's difficult to discern any detail from it.

The scepters dark because i haven't painted it yet.... mostly due to the fact that its in the reworking phase.. heh. You guys know how that goes. But any suggestions on how i could go about the redesign would be helpful :D .

try having the scepter resemble the character design...for example...the characters head is round...the scepter head could have a similar shape...make it look like its from the same culture...

Good suggestion. Or try to give the scepter head something similar to the asymmetrical designs on the alien's robe.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll try those suggestions..... Since it makes so much sense! lol. I dunno i just couldn't think anymore by the end of this design. I'm gonna redesign the scepter with a more organic feel, and use those landmarks on the character already to drive the rerdesign of scepter.
