I've been putting off joining and posting my stuff because, well, I'm intimidated by the calibur of artists here. I own books and DVDs by many of you. Alot of my heros hang out in here.

But who better to show my work to, and maybe get a few comments?

Anyway, hi. Here's some pictures.

These are painted very nicely. I notice though that every single one has a center-driven composition. Push your it more! It will help you find more mood and versatility.

Great paintings!

I see some bad perspectives in some of them. The anatomy is so exagerated in some of them, like cartoon drawings. Try to use some references to do the muscles more realistic.

Some nice stuff. I know some of them are for card games and that kind of pushes the need for center driven compositions somewhat. The games they are for have a pile of things covering the art. The art director also likes somewhat exaggerated looks for the stuff.

very impressive.
dont be afraid to make the subject more in the middleground.
for instance:
on the blue/pink one, let some petals come in front of the figure, and place a cast shadow on him from the petal.

These are all pretty nice. There are some issues in proportion and anatomy. For instance the red costumed girl. The way the arms and hands are turning in space look almost impossible or very painful. But you did a great job on the costume and wrinkles. Don't be afraid of posting your work either, the people here will only help you grow. Keep up the good work.

It si realy nice, but you need to go further. Ur compositions are all too normal. I suggest experiment a bit.

These all look nice, but the muscles on the ghouls shoulder look really odd, like the weird dent/hole in his shoulder.

Thank you for the kind reception! I'm thrilled to hear what you all think. Thank you all for taking the time to respond. I know you're all busy, and your time is greatly appreciated.

You guys have already nailed what I need the most work on. Composition has always been tricky for me. And I have to admit, I'm having a hard time finding good sources to learn from. I have a few photography books that help, but still would really appreciate any recommended readings on composition.

Too many comic books in my youth have skewed my anatomy. But, twice a week figure drawing sessions have been helping tremendously. One of these days, I should start snapping my own models. Not really cost effective for most of the work I do now, unfortunately.
