This are early renderings of a Japanese piece I'm working on. This is part of the same page as an earlier post.

Long process but really enjoy taking my time with these.

The figure has some problems (flipping us off and one big foot), but the castle is striking.

Nice.

Not bad, the temple and the shogun, though I'd retouch the right foot of the guy.
Here's a artwork I did named shogun:

And this is also my Deviantart page for the matter. :rendered:

Yes the feet are awkward. These are preliminaries so I hope to tighten it up. Although I'm not bothered by it that much.

Do you mind telling me your process and what tools you use for these? they look nice.

Its just an HB lead and ink wash. I use the Koh-I-Noor ink, then watered down to grey in combination with the pencils. Obviously I use models and photographs but I try to emulate a lot of atmospheric perspective so everything isn't so sharp.

Another preliminary image. I will rework the Samurai these are just the early sketches. And most of these are varying sizes and not actual. The shogun is actually quite small maybe 3.5 inches high so the detail is a bit fuzzy.
