brand new to the boards

just wanted to introduce myself to the boards. i came from theroot42.org looking for an awesome board full of people who also like to draw.

while the root is great its more of a design forum rather than an illustration forum.

i hope to post up some work soon! hope you guys dont mind comic book lookin peices!

Well, I felt it would be nice to introduce myself in here and since there was already a thread with an introduction on the very first page I figured why not add MY intro to it. I'm not MUCH of an artist. I've only gotten back into the swing of things in the last 3 or so years between work and so on. I'm hoping to get good enough to maybe consider going semi-pro in the next few years, sometimes before I hit 30, optimistically.

Anyway, I was just feeling a need to introduce myself. Not much else to say then that. It's good to know that this forum has alot of resources and links to keep a guy like me busy with things to do. Though I am curious, how do some of you who AREN'T in art schools or working as artists keep yourselves so motivated to draw so often and keep at it.
