Not sure if this is the right forum for this, my first post...
just trying Pantone Tria markers for the first time - tried a few different papers that I have but with not so good results (main problems being results that are too dark, and the ink is bleeding too much).
So far the best results are on tracing paper, which may be good to build up mulptiple layers of colour on several sheets.
Is there a standard / better paper/film to use that would offer the same advantages as tracing ?
thanks

Try anything specifically called marker paper or layout bond.

http://forums.cardesignnews.com/eve/ubb.x/a/tpc/f/61860207/m/534102994/p/1
this thread on car design news has all the skinny on art stuff and other car design stuff and other artcenter trans stuff and tutorials and a whole shabangbang.
oh yeah, uhhhh... www.drawthrough.com has good tuts.
I don't particularly like tria. Try to get some copics.
If you want to render on some transparent paper, try some vincent vellum.
For marker paper:
Copic a4 or a2 marker paper
Canson marker/layour paper
letraset marker paper a4, a3, a2
note: a4, a3, a2 represents the paper size for euro countries and asian countries
good luck

thanks for the useful info there - been checking some of those sites.
I ended up getting hold of some 'magic-marker colour studio' pens - a bit cheaper, really to try my hand first before getting any more - limited myself to a few colours first too.
I'll post some results next week - assuming they are presentable of course :)
thanks
Martin
