Here is a shark I did last semester for one of my classes.

It's done entirely in Illustrator .. was a big pain to do but it was also fun!

:o awesome !!! If it's painfull AND fun then all is good. Especially when you get such a spectacular result. I can see this perfectly fit in a visual dictionary. The white background is ok imo.. Keeps the focus on the subject of your work.
The only lil' crit I would do is in the gills area.
Again, wowza ! :)

Lol thaks guys for the compliments. This was an illustration for a stamp actually ... the stamp kinda sucked because I didn't spend as much time on it as I should have ... but the project itself (I mean in a general sense) was a success ... everyone in my class did an amazing illustration of a Canadian marine animal.
