I drew this guy Orthomon a month ago, and although he looks decent, I feel I won't colour him or anything. He's just a nice concept, or outcome at least, but not really interesting enough. My first more serious try in Painter 7, although it's got quite a few flaws. Feel free to point any of them out.

Just registered my account here on conceptart.org, so, I guess I would be rude not saying hello also. 'Hello!' :D

Very Warhammer:40K-ish, reminiscent of Ian Miller's work.

Crunch is totally right, you could benefit from making your under-drawing more gestural (look at cos' new sketch and doodle thread)...maybe use some photo reference as a base? He sure seems to be undead, but hey, so is Soulblighter from the Myth games, and note how his anatomy is thoroughly human.

Also, consider the armor thickness. The more puffy those plates look, the more it looks like a member of GWAR. Armor plates, even in fantasy art, are never more than 1/8" thick unless it's leather (in which case the thickness is increased somewhat)...

This dude needs a tetanus shot, that scythe is looking kinda rusty. :-)

Keep it going,
