I like the actual concept man, interesting humps on the back... and the render isnt too bad either! my only complaint would be that the head doesnt really pop out very well, perhaps shadowing the neck a bit more would make it stand out further?

I agree about the head, It actually looks like the head has been chopped off.
Also, lets see the other legs!!!! I am assuming this is supposed to be a 4-legged creature? No matter what angle, it's very unlikely you would not see the other legs, and besides it will make the creature more dynamic and 3-dimensional.
Textures and concept are solid.

thanks guys for pointing out my mistakes. the head really does not pop out, i am going to change this as soon as i get home from school, and i'll update the image.:)
-Muttonhead-
as for the legs, this creature actually only has 2 legs and no hands. thats why you couldnt see the other legs. perhaps i should make the back leg darker to create more depth.
-Theo-
the humps on its back are also used as a kind of harness(its a beast of burden by the way), to pull stuff, pull stuff, carry stuff, etc.
glad you guys like my concept.:) i'll be posting more of my work soon in the near future.

When I first looked at it I thought the humps would be used for camoflouge, like when it's sleeping it curls up and it just looks like one of the weird rocks found in it's natural habitat. I do like the two-legged design, the legs and tail almost looks like those of the monsters from Tremors 2.

hehe in fact, they are used for camouflaging, as well as for protection from predators. but those humps on its back are actually exploited by its owner as some sort of harness for labour.

Pretty cool. I think that it could use more contrast overall to bring out hte shapes a bit more.

ok guys, i've added more shadow to the neck to pop out the head more and made the back leg darker to try and create more depth. i've also increased the contrast slightly just to bring out the shapes.

it might be a bit hard to notice the changes but after working on it for so many days, i think i will have to move on to my next piece of concept art. so i'll be posting them as soon as i finish.:)
