This is the promo illustration for my 3D animated short film in progress. It's painted in Painter 7 and Photoshop 7. It's a place holder until I do the 3D version.

Do you like "VOICES OF DISTANT STAR"?

That is the most amazing animated short film i have ever seen. and it was all animated by ONE guy.45 minutes long and took him two years to make. Shinkai Told me personnaly he lost his Job making it. A truly inspiring work.

Heres a shot from the films hes made.

Thanks for the comments. :)

Ya, her wing I'm not too happy with. I'll try to make it better in the 3D version.

I've seen the trailer for that short, and I liked it, but I didn't know it was done by himself alone. That's very encouraging. In fact, it's one-man productions like Rustboy, Dark Age of Light, Typical Male Robot Behavior, The Cathedral, 50% Grey..etc that set examples before me and gave me the courage to do this. I'm happy to say that even though I started out alone, along the way, volunteers from fellow 3D artists signed up and joined me in this production to help out with various tasks. :D

It's a place holder because it was intended to be in 3D, and I was only supposed to do a quick study in 2D before doing the 3D, but I ended up painting it fully, and decided to use it as a place holder.

I'll definitely keep the CG community updated on the progress(the stuff I can show anyway. Gotta leave some room for mystery. :p )
