Looks great. The only thing that bothers me is the pink edge of light on the queen's right arm and head, or more specifically the black line between it and the rest of the form which makes it look like a graphic outline and doesn't seem to fit with the way the rest of the picture is done.

Great angle and composition. I saw your earlier post with the servant, and was wondering where you were going to take it. You definately got syle

It looks like you mixed Jabba the Hutt with Princess Leia in her slave girl outfit....why kind of fiend would do such a thing!?
This looks great, I love the flatness of the characters in the background, good job.

Reminds me of Ceaser Augustus ( I think), Jabba the Hut, and the lunch lady? Its really creepy, and I can see why they would kill her. Unfortunately I have no crits to add. Other than some parts of the queen seem flat and skewed.. But the major concern is that it looks good and that it does. Oh and next time give her a mirror to put her lipstick on... jeez.

I dont know why but the four servants in the background looks enormously flat,Like paper. For the rest, its superb.

Nice style, man. I would have darkened more the back of the creature on the front, to have it more mysterious, but that's minor crit...

Theres a lot of jabba the hutt reference going on here but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this pieces was the dark crystal. Youre concepts are really unique and the color choices are awesome. I would definately vote for this. Cool piece!!

hey mutt...love this! it's actually kinda similar to my own entry for the CGTalk contest...I'm not quite finished, but I'll post a link when it's done.
*EDIT: here it is... (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44689)
I'm wondering what your process was for this image. Did you use a similar technique to the hummingbird dragon you posted a while back?

I love:
-the style
-the background
-the colors and slightly wonky perspective
-her gross-ass face
-her henchmen
Great job!!!!
I think my only crit is that her stomach looks really flat - the way you've it them sort of makes it look not fully round - like a ball of playdoh that has been pressed flat. While the corners are rounded, the stomach doesn't have the volume it should. My 2 cents anyway! :)

I love it! Two things that bug me tho... One, the red around her mouth could have been a little bit more subtle. Two, i think i made out with a girl looking like that once. Or should i say she looked like that the morning after.

awesome! I'm glad to see those sketches you posted last month turned into a finished image.
lots of great muttonhead style here, but I have two crits: the smoke from the cigar is flattening the space between her knee and the assassins. and where's the feet? if you add 2 inches to the bottom of the image to fit her nasty long yellow toenails and bunions in, you'll also be able to put in the assassains feet and show the distance between her and them.

Thanks everyone! You really are too kind!
bluepuppy - Thanks! I am still at Turbine in Massa-2-shits. Working on the upcoming MMO Dungeons and Dragons Online!
Cyrus - Noted, thanks!
jfwalls - thanks man!
weiss - I am just the kind if fiend who would do such a thing! Thanks!
NOOSE - It's wicked arrsome, as they would say up here!
ludwrathjd - You must have had one disturbing lunch lady! I hope you BROUGHT lunch to school! And yes, the story is meant to evoke the Julius Caesar story.
Sems - Thankee!
Anders89 - Yeah, well, I sort of like playing with the juxtaposition and exaggeration of form. With the dudes in the background, I wanted them to feel flat on purpose, so that they were a contrast to the roundedness of the Queen. They have been stripped of their personality and their emotions by the queen, who has been using them as her mind-slaves for several centuries. Thanks for the comments!
willpaxton - Thanks man, you are too kind.....
Arctis - THank you sir. I did want his arm and the knife to show behind him, but i can see your point.
cateaic - Thank you! Dark Crystal is definitely one of my all-time favorite movies. I was always influenced by the bold style choices made in that movie.
JeffZNY - Hey man, thanks! Can't wait to see your finished piece. Yes, I did use a similar technique to the hummingbird dragon piece. I will post my step-by-step when I return from E3. Good luck!
Spartan - Thanks for the comments! Every 2 cents given puts me 2 cents closer to my first million, so bring it on! :)
Slash - The next time you wake up next to a woman that looks like this, run very far away, that is my recommendation..... she eats men for breakfast! ....and fish.
bwk - Who do you think you are, Bob Dacey?! ARRGH! Yeah, well, I guess its too late now. But then again, maybe she has no feet! Yeah! They were cut off by an evil cropping-robot named: Crop-Master 5000. Thanks though.
Scubasteve - No, no, you are right, I should post my process pics, and I will do so as soon as I get back from E3. Thanks!
Vigostar - Thanks a bunch.... are you one of the judges? I hope? :)

Nice work as usual, Sean.
And watch what you say about Massachusetts!
Maybe I'll bump into you at E3, although I'm going to be "behind closed doors" much of the time...

Nice work as usual, Sean.
And watch what you say about Massachusetts!
Haha! Sorry bout that! My Pops grew up in Rhode Island and doesn't have a very favorable opinion of Mass, so maybe a bit of that rubbed off on me unneccessarily. BUT, if you have kids, or are planning on having kids, PLEASE teach them how to drive properly!!! What is the deal with Mass. Drivers? They are the WORST!!!! :$
Otherwise, its a beautiful state.... :bashful:
Where will you be at E3?
