This problem is driving me crazy! I'm using Painter 9 on a Mac with OSX 10.3. When painting, I like to use the eyedropper/colorpicker tool and option click to sample colors directly from my image. However, when I work with more than one layer, no matter where I click in the image the sampled color often appears as white. It seems to occur fairly randomly, but once it does it just seems best to quit and restart. Very frustrating! Any information/solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help here Pat, all I can say is that I get the same problem occassionally... usually after a 'save', thinking about it.
I just reboot the program the same as you, although that can be a pain.

I got a problem with the dropper tool too, I have a button set up on my tablet to 'd' for painter, and 'i' for PS. But after pressing it a few times and it selects the dropper tool, it then switches and selects the rectangle tool 'i'. Guess its a problem with my tablet or something but its driving me nuts. Anyone have this problem??
