looks great. i like the concept (don't know what you mean by revamped version of decay, tho...).

his hips are kinda wide. also, if there's lava surrounding the island, the red-yellow glow should come from all over (beneath) not just the left and right. in other words: add bottom light to the 'front' of the island

looks very nice. details are great.

Just elaborating on what souface said, you should try to pull in more orange throughout the figure of this guy, to show the lava's glow. Other than that this is a very solid piece.
