Looks like it was one hell of a day over at the Shooting Gallery! wes, coro, marko, sean barber all were involved. check out the event photos (http://www.shootinggallerysf.com/EventPhotos/2005/05_07_05_DayInLife/index.htm) from the gallery website. Such a shame i don't live anyhere near that part of the world.

(is there already a thread about this?..i can't find one but i'm sorry if there is)

awesome! so what was the concept? create a piece of painting in one sitting and allow the public to view the process?

the beauty of Wes' art! (Any references used?!) classic question that annoy, but desperately want answered by aspiring artists

That's Lee Harvey Roswell,

a great surrealist painter. You should put up Sean Barbers piece as well. He ownz!

And heh, I showed up late and hungover, with no Canvas but only paper on me//

Holy crap that is cool shit! What was this for? Does the Shooting Gallery do this kind of thing often? Was it just some crazy idea to have a bunch of you come in, paint, then do a show that evening or what? For charity? For the hell of it? To get paid?

Man, that's so fucking cool that a bunch of y'all can just get together like that and spend a day painting with each other and just hanging out. Gah, I need to move to SF (and er..learn to paint ;) ).

sorry to dive in here really late, but this stuff is pretty amazing, loving Wes's take on Macaulay Culkin, and Coro's mix of graphic illustration and beautifully subtle colours. Barber's palette and subject is as usual insane and the dude with the hyper cube is just plain mental.
