You should try to show some more of the body it would be more interesting, also try to make it more organical with also having some more study on the animals to get their anatomy in mind so you don't make mistakes in a out of blue anatomy while combining just the look.

Other than that pretty good and very interesting task... eager to see some more..

i think the intial idea is kick ass, that of mixing a snake and a wolf, what a deadly mix.

i feel your visual interpretation, or concept design is poor. i feel the concept having much more promise, a reptilian wolf would be tough looking. imagine a venomness wolf! maybe even a specific type of snake, like a cobra wolf ..

i felt your image did not portray a wolf snake creature.

i also feel, though your image is done, it is not finished.

Kinda reminds me of Madcoil, from the old ElfQuest comics (which is a good thing!). I also agree that this does not look finished though.

Try not to use black so much (or at all) for creating shadows. More contrast is needed in the beast's hindquarters as well.
