I was going to be upset over the exclusion of assualt until I read about conquest. That sounds like it will be even more fun.
However, I really dislike the character designs. They look like they would fit perfectly into a game with a theme like Hellgate: London, but they don't resonate with that UT vibe. They look great and the models are spectacular, but it just isn't my cup of tea.
But I'll play it anyways, because UT doesn't dissapoint on gameplay.

I think Epic was always first to pimp newest technologies. I saw a tiny picture of a new Deck 16, i'd like to play that. It's one of the best deathmatch level designs to me.
With all those next gen game screens rolling in right now i suppose the smashing great game companies still keep their goods under blankets. I haven't seen any game so far that i'd really like to play for anything but the looks. Apart from Epic it's all ... uhm, less interesting companies. I can't help but think they are just going to cash in on the hype. Duh, who can blame them. I hope to see some interesting stuff in the coming months.
(Rant ahead.)
I still didn't see any game yet that really took advantage of all our new technology gameplay wise. I liked the huge environments in GTA, but liked cruising around listening to Sublime much better than the /m\ \w/ :bs: :bs: :bs: :stfu: :stfu: BS storyline and the pathetic missions. The Tony Hawk games got better in details and developed a near perfect trick system, but the terrible story elements and boring repetitive level design killed the later games for me. Half Life looks like a good game, but afaik it allows nowhere near the amount of possibilities it claims to offer.
I'd like to try Shenmue sometimes, and Virtua Fighter offered a lot of possibilites. When i play, i want to play only one game that needs to be diverse enough to keep me interested for months (i'm not interested in roleplaying). I want to see the jump in game design that we perpetually get in technology, i'm really losing interest in the games on the market. There's good movies and good music that i love for years and watch or hear over and over again, not to mention literature, but games have gotten pretty stale. That's a pity.

thats pretty cool :
Bots & AI:
Epic plans to give a lot more personality to the UT2007 bots, shown through their interactions with players and each other in the single player campaign.
Bots' personalities will make them better suited to certain tasks.
"So if you're doing a flag run, you can hear what's going on back at your base because guys are shouting to each other where the enemy's coming from and what they're doing to prevent it". - Steve Polge
Voice command will play a much larger role in UT2007.
"You'll be able to ask [the bots] questions about their status: 'Is there anybody down in the cavern?', 'No, cavern's all clear'. Or you could throw out warnings like, "There's a sniper on the tower. Go get the sniper.'" - Steve Polge

I agree, but I always thing that when you are making a new game engine the first thing that comes out of the assembly line is going to be generic. I don't mean to argue but take the Virtua Fighter series for example, all of them are just an excuse to show off Sega's new Arcade engine. When they refine the Virtua Fighter Engine then they make a game like Shenmu.
I was more impressed with last years Unreal 3 engine for E3. It showed off an impressive art direction that really said anything is possible.

I get at this E3 we will see a few videos of these Unreal Tourney models animated. I feel that would be the ultimate test to see if this thing is worth getting excited about. Hee hee, this reminds me when Epic use to work for 3D Relms and at that time they announced Duke Nukem' 4ever would be made on the Unreal engin. :D
