Maybe this is kind of a strange question...

Um...If just anyone can sign up and post art, how come just about everyone registered here is really talented? (Er, even sites where the stuff has to get approved generally have their share of crap.)
I only ask because I feel kinda sucky and amateur and I'm wondering if I didn't register properly or something.=p
(Maybe this sounds rude...You'll have to excuse me. I am a really bad judge of what's rude and what isn't.)

There is no kind of screening of posts at conceptart. Well, except if they have what is deemed as improper content or trolling or whatever, but as far as art goes anyone can post whatever they want.

But if you are actually not very talented(yet), and post something in the Finally Finished! section that doesn't really belong there(because it doesn't look 'finished'), you'll probably just either get a nice reminder that perhaps you should post it in the "Sketches & Doodles" or "Work in Progress & Help" sections first, or maybe you just won't get any comments at all for your post.

If you're insecure, try and post in the "Work in Progress & Help" section first, and see what people are saying.

But even in the "Finally Finished!" section anyone - even Foster and Aleksi and Sparth and all those professional guys - can expect to get crits and "negative"(but constructive) comments.

So.... Just post, and see what happens I guess....

One of the things I find very important about conceptart is that it's very much "trial by fire" here.

I wouldn't call that snobbery, but I would say that I think 175% more about posting something here than I do on any other forum.

It's harsh, but it's what keeps the quality consistently high here.

It's also an incentive to practice practice practice!

Yeah i have noticed everybody here is like amazing and incredibly talented, i,m not half as good as some guys around here. But i pratice like hell and get inspiration from this forum.
