hi guys

well I don't do a lot of drawing and it probably shows in the following sketches, but I do see the importance of doing concept art for my 3D work. These sketches are for some characters in a 3D animated film that I am currently working on (I am designing an entire armed force, the top pic is a prison guard and the bottom pic is a fighter pilot), I hand drew these and then coloured them in photoshop with my trusty mouse (I'm currently gathering the funds for a nice big tablet though). Any tips on how I can improve my drawing would be appreciated, as well as any comments on the actual design of these characters.

I know nothing about this kind of illustration but here goes: Maybe you could tighten up the outlines? as they're a bit rough looking. Also how about a shadow for the pilot? also the guard has four fingers on his right hand, which looks cluttered (and the stick goes into his hand before the thumb). The fighter pilot is very cute: looks slightly furry. Anyway, you will definitely find it all a heck of a lot easier with a tablet though ;)

I would really like to see these guys (and the rest of the cast) in a 3D movie. I like 'em somehow, they have personality :)
