Boot Sketch

I wanted to do some drawing the other night and the first object that came to hand was one of my New Rock Boots. Like it?

thats a good sketch, what size? If i were to crit, I'd say that you have a universal light source, so the shadows are not very well defined...and it sorta looks flat. If you were to draw a still object, maybe use one clear light source from an angle so maybe it will give it more demension? There should be more distinctive highlights on the metal buckles than the rest. Its leather right? I think the highlights should be sharper, so it looks glossier.

just my thoughts, i can't back it up with exprerience like most people on the site. keep it up.
