hey all. i just wanted to post this here. this piece is one i'm real proud of. i've worked with some cheap scratchboard paper before, so i kinda had an idea of how to work the material. but anyway, this is a portrait of a friend of mine who's in my ap art class. comments and crits would be most appreciated.

Awesome but I think you almost gave her an adams apple, and i think her neck is to long.

no its good, i think the neck is just right, women have a curve, its not a lump like a dude.

I like the nose, but neck seems too big.
Also think that you could post in Life drawing sub-forum

i loved the hair behing her head with the light effect. what i didnt understand is why u scracthed the shadow of her face. her hair in the top, its too high. and some parts of her hair should be darker. but still its a very nice art.

I really love the length of the neck. Its distorted, but that looks elegant on women. I think people think its too big because its too wide. If you decide to do this again, try bringing the whole edge of the neck in (about 1/8th). Dont forget about the clavicles and the pit of the neck. Use them as an anchor for the neck to sit on.

by the way, I love the overlaps you found in the face -very nice!
