This is sort of the wrong section... but here is a link to a thread about what you should put in your portfolio..

Also, I think at art schools they would rather see NON-Digital work.. so using paper and pencil, charcoal, and painting is a better idea..

Also you will want to work from a live model. So perhaps have a friend, girlfriend, brother/sisiter, parent pose for you.. Maybe go to a cafe and sketch the people sitting around there.. go to the park and sketch statues... stuff like that..
