brush snap painter9?

hi... can somebody tell me how i can snap the brush in painter9 vertical and horizontal..
as (shift) in photoshop...

That's exactly how you do it, with shift :) you can do horizontal, vertical and diagonals!

This might just be for my version (painter 8 ) but its actually alt shift.....or you could hit V to go to the line tool, then B to go back to brush, line tool doesn't really give you any freedom of expression in the line quality though, your best bet is to do alt-shift with your stylus. Its limited to horizontal, vertical, and diagonal and doesn't change with any kind of canvas rotation: rotated canvas still has a 45 degree angle in relation to its native canvas position--- so its not very useful for speed lines or vanishing points, but its still handy. hope that helps
