This is my first post in this forum, and I have but one life drawing I want to share (at the moment...as soon as i get my scanner fixed, i'll post more for critique). Any comment, critique is welcome (and encouraged), so that i may improve my life drawing skills.
I was having trouble drawing the model's pose to day in drawing class and so i did a study of the folds of his shorts. Here it is.

Sorry about the quality of the scan too...kinda crappy....

Haha, that's funny. I love studies from figure drawing classes that don't have figures. It looks good, I'm not fond of the blue but whatever. It's a little hard to figure out what's what. Post some more stuff, hard to say much about this.

i wish i could draw something other than figures in figure drawing class :( is that colored pencils? i like the blue tone, its different fromt he usual grayscale. i agree with abberant, it is difficult to read. i think its becuase i cant categorized it a a fuctional object in my brain. some of the shadows are really saturated, maybe too much. surfaces in shadow have less saturation becuase less ligh is hitting it. but its not always the case. i suppose it all depends on how much relfection of light there is on the surrounding surfaces and if their original color are the same. you should definitely post more stuff.

Thanks! I thinke the quality of the scan has something to do with the shadows seeming more saturated too, because I looked at my original and it's certainly a lot better looking. *smile*. And I certainly will post more...damn scanner is still broken.....urgh!

oh, and the blue is photo-free blue lead...supposedly it doesn't show up on scans so you can do an under-sketch before you do your actual drawing....this is, of course, crap, as you can see that it did indeed show up in a scan... it's just a lot more smooth than graphite, and so I tend to like it more

These are slightly older (they're up on my DeviantArt account, and so were scanned before my scanner died...)

this last one will never be finished because the original is now nonexistent, and I have no clue what happened to it. If you recognize the guy i'll give you a prize! (not really because i am poor) :x

Nice study of the bag, could maybe use some harder edges one some of the creases. The distance between eyebrow and base of nose is equal to the distance between base of nose and end of chin.
