I usually hang out at www.3d-palace.com, but for this new project I also started with some concept art. Not everyone there draws stuff, so they all think this is amazing. I am hoping to get an experienced opinion here for the concept part. This is what I have so far. Any advise would be very welcome, cuz I have a lot to learn when it come to drawing.

Hi Megann,
I'm not much of a dragonperson, so i'll leave the crits about the anatomy to someone else. What i can advice you, is to check up on your linewidths. The last couple of pics kinda blend together, making it hard to see the different parts of the dragons. It's as if you're using a dull pencil to draw. Sharpen them :), or use a mechanical pencil. Also, don't go over lines many times over and over again. Just draw with long relaxed strokes.
What i really like about the pics are the dynamic poses you attemped and the details that make each dragon look unique. Keep it up!

TIP:
Imagine you colour your entire drawing black, if you can tell what the drawing is, it's on it's way to becoming a great picture.
Apply this to everything you draw!
Reference
If I was drawing dragons, especially this one, I would use horse heads as a reference guide when constructing the dragons head.

Personally I used birds as reference for the heads and I draw dragon snouts the way I would typically draw a beak of a bird.

I think the eyes need work you may want to find a reference and practice a few but at this point the eyes are just like crappy anime eyes.

Has some dragon tutorials among others. Only use them to get the idea, though.
What animal you use as a reference should depend on the TYPE of dragon you want to draw.
Evil and nasty? Use a croc or an alligator.
Viscious? Birds come in handy then.
Proud and graceful? Horses.
Majestic and Powerful? Lions and Tigers.
This is how I personnaly do it when I'm going to draw a made-up creature. I think of an animal that I belive is closest to or most represents the personality of my creature.

The animals I used for reference are bats, draco lizards, flying frogs and the flying snake. Plus I "borrowed" some ideas from the draconicon book of dragons from dungeons and dragons.
This dragon has only one pair of legs and uses it wings for walking when not flying. In total it has two pair of wings, one used for floating and the other used for actual flying. I haven't seen too many traditional dragons with fangs so I gave mine fangs. The real problem is drawing the same dragon over and over, in different stands. I am still practising this. I want them to at least look alike.
