Here something I've been working on in my freetime while at school. It's still has a ways to go, but I am curious to know what you guys think. :)

i think it looks really nice. i wonder how a camera lower to the ground with more of an Up-shot, low angle, might look. I just think the composition is a little "eye-level" boring at the moment.

Here's an updated version:

I lowered the camera a bit...played with the lighting...added some details...and am just beginning to add textures.

its looking good. that camera angle is a lot better, i think it is a very good height off the ground, could even angle up a tiny bit more. but don't forget your 2d design fundamentals. that tire on the bike is getting close to the left edge, either move it further from the edge, or have the bike go off screen maybe 1/3 of the tire diameter. also, i think you should get the right side of the door frame in the shot, and leave a little breathing room between the edge of the screen and the frame, or cut off the door frame more. there is a weird tangent with that. and the top of the frame is pointing right at the upper right corner.

when youre doing a shot like this its really important to treat it with the 2d design emphasis. if you have 2d design problems no one will be able to subconciously look past those and appreciate it for its 3d elements. my opinions on the 2d design may not be the best, maybe you could post in the WIP 2d section and get some hints on its layout, i'm sure youll get really great suggestions.

its looking good so far. dont forget to try different textures and shaders: blinn, lambert, phong (metal, diffuse, plastic.)
