Some doodles I did between classes.

Please point out any anatomical errors because these were done without any references... (I have been drawing nothing but horses and canines for ages so... I feel confident enough not to look at photos when I'm sketching)

Now, fabrics and such are really my weakest sides so... Crits? Tips? Tricks? Tea? I really want and need to improve so please, rip these up and tell me everything I need to practice more at.

(muzzle is real weird on this one... I know)

great work.
they are very well rendered, great work on the shading and texture with your wolves and fox's hair. for some reason i look at wolfs badly, i have a weird steriotype i have created in my mind. for some reason, very annoying people in my past have worn wolve shirts, with like a starry background .. they were kinda white trash people and i imagined their wolf shirts hanging next to their starwars t shirts ..

.. at anyrate, your human animal creatures remind me of illistration sketches. or prework for a painting, because they have this precise layout, unfinished feeling. just my opinon.

well what i was going to say is that i felt the necks on these creatures are weird, i feel the transition isnt working very well, it makes the figures look stiff like a hilogriphic (sp?), and would think they would look much better if you ditched the whole human body thing all together and give them their animal body's personified, it is a matter of taste do what you like :p

*nods* Thanks for the head's up! I'm gonna try and figure out how head and neck will connect with the body.

Thanks again!

Trying to concentrate on what's going on underneath the fur might help you. Figure out how the skull of the wolf would merge with cervicals of a human. (be carefull with the lenght of the neck too). 2c ! :)
