Ok, since i'm new to sketching and drawing, is it bad if i print out other people's sketches and draw (not trace) them? i consider this practice, but i just wanted to know.

Yes, sometimes :)...but some questions don't make much sense, so most members close the thread without answering.
You can print the google-page and draw if you want to. There's nothing bad about drawing something of other artists for practicing...though it would be better to draw from life. You'll get your own style better this way...

I think it is very good to sketch both from life and copy. There are certain ways one should do life drawing and without copying other artist you'll never figure it out. For instance it's good to draw through a form. When just looking at life one might not think to do this, but after looking at some sketches by other good artist you can see that this should be done. My advice would be not to copy finished drawings until you have construction down very strong. Copy peoples rough sketches so you can see how people aproach life drawing.

copying another artist picture seems like a waist of time, the only good i see in it is bettering your skill in holding a pencil and drawing what you see .. wait .. a second ..

whatever.
All the good artist started by coping other good artists.
I did it when i started drawing. Now we just use it as inspiration. I suggest you copy all the masters and then some of the new guys out there. GOOD STUFF! copy it. Don't just draw it. Learn about what kind of strokes their taking. Look closely at what they are doing in the sketch. Remember that and use it later in your own works.
Once your able to draw a copy perfectly, or as close to it as possable. Start drawing them from your memory. Once you can draw that style with out any reff. Move on and create your own. That's how i did it.
Good luck.

And don't call it copying, call it an "homage". Hehe.
