Portraits are very interesting to always capture. I believe the best are ones that are not staged, more like ones you capture at when they are least expecting it.

If you like portraits, then I would try keeping a camera on you at all times, let your subjects warm up to you and the camera. Then when you shoot them they will be less stiff and more acceptable to the enviroment. Nobody likes a camera in there face. So its your job to make them feel comfortable.

The second set of pictures is much better. They don't really creep me out or anything. If your friend wasn't simling fiendishly in the pictures they might be a little scary. As for compositional values they are visually interesting, but don't get to carried away with the blur effect. I always end up getting carried away with effects and it usually doesn't comming out as cool as originally thought. Well thats my advice. I'd like to see some more of your pictures keep em comming.

i'm not even trying to use the blur effect, it's the fricken Pentax k1000 that i use.

haha, i'm like that when it comes to art, i just have to make it look freaky.
besides my buddy in the pics shared some of his ideas. it was fun taking these pics. i've got more to show later, hopefully....but i've been quite busy these days.
