Very nice little piece. I kinda want to see some sort of background elements with it, but its not neccessary.
I also think maybe its cropped a bit close. If you wanted to add more of a background you could add more space around the creature.
Of course, I should probably take my own advice, because my recent post is similar in composition....
Nice work!

Hey HEEEYYY
Thatīs one coool bug. I like the strong outlines and the color pick. Itīs a very dusty surrounding eh?
Ehm...ah...could it be...that...this particular creature is related (or maybe even the source of inspiration) to the folks working at Sparth Robotics? Hm?
That would be if that would be an actual real company. that is. :D
Would you care telling me: did you draw this on paper first and with what please?

Thanks all,
I didn't really wanna spend much time on the background, but your right it would have problably been cooler.
It was done completely in photoshop, and inspired by the works of sparth, prometheus, and bengal.

A dedbot. I just realized as I was finishing, but those are not supposed to be the twin towers in the background, if you were wunderin'. Anyway, all crits wanted.

yeah. nice color pallette choices. I REALLY like the bug painting. One thing I would suggest for the robot painting is to consider the illustion of depth. As it stands right now, all the elements in the image appear to be the same distance from the camera. One thing that is contributing to this is the use of line in the background. The line creates contrast that competes with whats going on in the foreground. Also, the highlight on the right hill is so high key that is draws the eye right to it.
your bug painting, however, creates a sense of depth perfectly well because you used large, vauge brushstrokes for the background as opposed to the finely rendered and outlined forms of the bug. If you took that technique and applied it to teh robot painting, I think you would solve the problem. Unless, of course, you WANTED a flat compostion.
You've been a great contributer to this site, keep it up!
