When I see these, I to know the rest of the story. What is going on in these fantastic environments? Well I guess I want to see the movie. lol

very interesting mix of high tech look and old-fashioned architecture...
first piece is def. my favorite...
I like those flying structures. crit: the far one looks just a bit too much in the same position like the closer one. that brought my attention at once but it's not big deal...

really awesome work!!!
I think the lighting and the architecture are the strongest points! The design is very strong and gives a good feeling. I must add that I think that some of the designs are not that original but this doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
Two thumbs up!!!

Thanks for all your helpful comments, i really appreciate it! I will try to post process images, simply put, i usually start from a line drawing sketch, value, then color and texture. Thanks again!

Hey Stephen, I love you're stuff, both here and on the site. I'm also at Art Center (on a term off at the moment actually). I was wondering if any of these were projects for a particular class. If so, which classes?

hello stephenopoly
i remember you! (didn't you win the painter contest?) if so, i'm the guy from switzerland that contacted you some time ago! i like the examples you posted. they all have that tight professional look most people like to achieve... give us a hint, what is you favourite tool within painter? conte? oils? acrylics? or do you mix all the time?
greetings

Very nice work Stephen.
My favorite piece is the one with the yellow roof tents. Great composition!
btw, we're in the same class together with Gary. I was the guy sitting to your right last week talking to you (and the other steve) about how Mullins gets his texture ;)

Hi!
The third fourth and fifth pieces were done as independent study pieces with mark goerner, and the 2nd one down with scott robertson independent study, and the other two where just done off term, i would recommend taking an entertainment class with feng zhu but he's currently not teaching, he may start again.... anyways see you around school!

hello,
I like using painter as a sketching tool, i usually do my line drawings on painter, then use photoshop to paint and apply color. ( i don't think i've entered a painter contest before ) good times!

Those are way cool. My favorites are #1 and #4, I love the mix between old architecture and futuristic technology. And if you put a funky Rube Goldbergian airship in there, you've totally got my vote. Thanks for the great images. Very well done.

great mood and lighting. The only thing that bothers me is the sculpture in the last piece. It fights w/ the woman as the focal point of the piece.

these are awesome man, you're a tribute to everyone who's come out of there. Hope to see a lot more from you. I'm particularly a fan of the canyon image. Beautiful colors, beautiful location, it's the stuff fantastic images are made of.
