I was inspired to do this by the PS2 game 'God of War'. The art for this game was done by a guy named Charlie Wen.. I was going for the energy and motion of his piece called 'Sore Throat" Check it out...http://www.e3artexpo.com/2004/preview.php?123
Just some awesome art! The booklet and everything...This took @10 hrs PS, Painter and my Wacom

oh shit yesh. this is a GREAT concept.. well-executed, also! the only crit i have is about the mouth/face of the bull. it looks too pushed to HIS left, causing the face to look more like a dog instead of a bull. keep up the good work!

the leg further in front could be positioned more under his body, rather than to the side,to make him a bit more steady.he looks abit as if he's falling over any moment.just a little.
oh,and the perspective on the small skull on the axe is abit off considering the whole perspective of the axe.not the small horns, but only the skull.
edit: oh yeah and congrats on getting a dailydeviation feature over at deviantart;)

nice feel of movement... the arena is kinda crowding but that's fine...

this is very excellent. Your cg painting skills surpass mine, so I can't crit that.
The action is good, and I definitely get the feeling of it with your color and light. But the only thing that nags me is the pose of the minotaur. The arm with the weapon striking down looks relaxed (i.e. it's bent). It'd be way better if the arm was fully extended like he was r e a c h ing out to lay the smack down on this gladiator. KaaWAM! Ya know? Almost hyper extending his arm. To me it says, "I'm gonna swing on you!" Instead of ,"Die filthy human!" everything else reads fine.

my favorite part of this is the foremost gladiator. his arm is outstretched NOT because hes flying through the air, but because he's trying to stop/cushion his fall. nice touch.

The only thing is with such a large, evil thing one would assume the arena seats wouldn't be so close to the ground.
